Music Festival delighted audiences in 2019 with a showcase of female performers of varied cultural backgrounds from Northern NSW . In 2020 ROAR will bring you another night of wonderful performances at the culmination of the Lismore Women's Festival on Friday March 6th.
Headlining this years event with a mix of soulful vocals, a roots/blues twist with just a pinch of bohemian gypsy jazz will be Essie Thomas. Described as “A songwriter who doesn't mess with her words” (Blank Magazine, GC), Essie Incorporates live loops and awe-inspiring guitar. Live music at Roar will also feature Jex Lopez, Fisted Sisters, Kiss My Boots and Mykaela Jay. After midnight Roar kicka on with some tight sisters on the decks, bringing you sounds from Morgazmk, Orthentix and EllaPink. Roar is a celebration of the diverse and talented women of the region both as performers and within other roles in the entertainment industry. For only $18 at the door you are ensured an evening of wonderful music, inspiring performers and plenty of opportunity to use your dancing shoes.
